It’s extremely frustrating when it seems like you’re the only one doing the work. For those of you who have ever worked with a personal trainer, were you making it to each workout regularly and giving 100% effort only to have your trainer just “throw together” a workout at the last minute with no rhyme or reason as to why she’s having you do those exercises? Tenacity Performance Training’s Core Value #3 is Teamwork + Effort = Success. Yes, for my clients to achieve their weight-loss, fitness, and performance goals, they must consistently make it to their workouts and give 100% effort. If they do that, they will see results. But it’s not only my clients who must put forth the effort in each workout. As your personal trainer, I must bring my A-game to each of your workouts which means I have to have your workout already written out, I have to be ready to make adjustments to your workout on the fly if the need arises, and, most of all, I have to be very motivating, encouraging, and supportive. My relationship with my clients doesn’t comprise of me barking out orders at them. Just like employees working together to achieve the company goals, my clients and I must work together as a team to help them achieve their goals and for me to have happy, satisfied clients. If we put in a great effort and work together as a team toward our common goals, we will definitely see SUCCESS!
